“The kitchen’s pure size creates immediate impact. We needed to create a large-scale design that would simultaneously offer beautiful detailing and functionality for this family home. The owners wanted separate preparation and cooking zones that could be used in tandem. We designed the scullery to provide maximum storage with a sink and preparation area, while the kitchen is fully equipped with large capacity ovens and double fridges to accommodate the family of four and their love for baking and cooking. Blum’s Servo-Drive system seamlessly lifts the doors above the oven units, creating accessible storage at the touch of a button without the need for handles. A bi-fold cabinet conceals space for large benchtop appliances. At the heart of the kitchen, the expansive island bench delivers workspace and an informal breakfast bar with striking form. Its pure white stone top and waterfall ends are paired with the vivid white gloss doors and neutral glass splashback to create a simple aesthetic. Feature pendant lights add a touch of elegance that complete this understated contemporary space.”
